My #IHPromise – to learn from and serve our Brave community while keeping our students at the center of everything we do.

I am ready to put my hardhat on and help Build a Brave Future for our Indian Hill Middle School students and families! Joining IHMS in the middle of our construction project with the opportunity to open a new building for our Brave learners and community is thrilling. Having helped open a newly-renovated building before, I know how important and special this process is, and I’m honored to be a part of building a legacy that will set a precedent for the future of schools.

The Indian Hill experience is unique. To be a Brave means holding in harmony high levels of excellence and empathy. It’s about delighting in healthy relationships and learning experiences together so that we can continually grow ourselves and make a difference in the world around us. The #IHPromise is about taking radical responsibility for ourselves and each other by putting our students at the center of everything we do so that they can achieve more than they ever thought possible.

The best moment of my day is when I visit a classroom and students are excited to show me what they have just created or accomplished, or when teachers and students are so lost in their learning that the bell rings and I hear them groan because they have to leave whatever they were immersed in. In truth, as educators, we are always watching students who are under construction, working to be the best version of themselves. What a privilege.
