IHEVSD K–12 District
Meet IH Foundation President Geoff Grant

We moved to Cincinnati in 2007 for what was planned to be a short-term stop.  Almost 20 years later, we’re still here and love the community where we have made friends and raised our three kids.  Our oldest (Ella) is beginning her senior year and our younger daughter (Betsy) is starting 10th grade.  Both of them will be 13-year club members.  This year, our youngest, (Ben) starts Kindergarten, and we couldn’t be more excited for what’s in store for all three kids.  All in, we’ll have close to 25 years with one of our kids in an IH school!

To be a Brave means you are brave.  Brave to take on opportunities that are unique to our schools, Brave to take on challenges you may face in the classroom or on a field, Brave to overcome the jitters as you prepare for that concert solo or theatrical performance.  Since we live in the district, we have the honor of calling ourselves Braves….and since we are a part of this District, we have many opportunities to test our Bravery.  Whether it’s an AP class, an Experienceship opportunity, an international trip with a language club or band and orchestra, there are many opportunities we have as a community of Braves to be Brave and try something new.  I’m proud of the work the Foundation, Boosters, and PTO do to create all of these opportunities.

I take the IH promise very seriously as do my colleagues on the Foundation Board and countless other organizations that support the District.  IH promise is my personal promise to bring my best self, my skills and talents, and my community network to the District to create unique opportunities for our children to thrive.

When my family began our relationship with IH schools 12 years ago, I knew very little about the Foundation.  However, over the years I’ve come to see - and appreciate - its impact.  I am excited to now do my part to advance the mission.  Whether we are providing grants for equipment or classroom programming, supporting the launch of new District initiatives like the Experienceships program, or through securing and investing capital contributions to support programs like Braves Helping Braves or many of the District’s scholarship programs, the impact of the Foundation is broad and significant.  I am proud to be a part of a group that works in many ways to keep the District in a top spot across the Cincinnati region and the State of Ohio.
