Club Registration

Is your child interested in joining a school-sponsored club this year? Club registration for the 2023-2024 school year will be open from Tuesday, September 5-Sunday, September 17. Take a look at club descriptions below and sign up by September 17. Club advisors will send out more specific information during the week of September 18. Most clubs will start the last week of September or first week of October. CLUB REGISTRATION FOR THE 2023-2024 SCHOOL YEAR IS NOW CLOSED. CLUB ADVISORS WILL SEND OUT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.


Club Name: Art Club

Description: Art club is designed for creators of all levels and experiences. We will focus on stirring creative juices in a judgment free environment by creating 2-3 projects, depending on the pace of students' work pace. By the end of the 4 weeks, students feel a sense of pride and accomplishment in their design plans to final art creation.

Grades: 3rd, 4th, 5th

Dates and Days of the Week: Tuesdays before school from 8:00-8:45am. Four week sessions divided by grade level. 3rd grade will meet Oct. 3, Oct. 10, 17, and 24; 4th grade will meet Oct.31, Nov. 7, Nov. 14, and Nov, 28; 5th grade will meet Dec. 5, 12, 19, 21. 2 Sessions are offered- Please indicate whether Session 1 (fall) or Session 2 (winter) is your first preference.

Club Name: Chess Club

Description: Chess Club welcomes students with all skill levels, from the novice to the advanced player. Throughout the duration of chess club, there will be a series of demonstrations and friendly competitions to help develop the skills needed to excel at the game. 

Grades: 3rd, 4th, 5th

Club Name: Choir

Description: There is a choir for every grade level at the elementary school. Rehearsals are one morning a week starting the first week in October through the concert on Tuesday, December 19. A second session of choir will run late January through May for students to add or drop. Those staying in choir do not need to re-register. You will receive an email from Mrs. Bohn with more details in a few days after registration closes on September 17. Students will perform a variety of music and practice proper singing technique and music reading. In addition to the December concert, choirs will perform at 2 of the school assemblies and are sometimes invited to sing out in the community. Families will be notified far in advance of all performances. Students participating in a school club on the same day are excused from choir during the duration of that club.

Club Name: Kids Who Care

Description: Kids Who Care is a service organization that performs various projects throughout the year to help out those in need in our local community and sometimes beyond.

Grades: 3rd, 4th, 5th

Enrollment Limit: Multiple groups will be formed based on enrollment numbers and a lottery system if necessary.

Cost: $0.00

Dates and Days of the Week: Each group typically meets 4 times throughout the year (October-May) before school on Fridays. Placement information and specific meeting dates will be sent home.

Club Name: Maker Maniacs

Description: Maker Maniacs allows students multiple opportunities to tinker, explore, and create projects in the iLab using various tools and materials.

Grades: 3rd, 4th, 5th grade Maker Maniacs meets in grade level sessions. There will be two sessions for each grade level (Session 1-Fall/Winter and Session 2-Winter/Spring). Each session per grade level will be 4 weeks long.

Enrollment Limit: Grade level groups will be formed based on enrollment numbers and a lottery system if necessary. Students who do not make it into the Maker Maniacs club will be placed on a waiting list and will have priority the following year. Please indicate whether Session 1 (fall/winter) or Session 2 (winter/spring) is your first preference.

Club Name: Science Club

Description: Science Club is designed to emphasize the wonder and exhilaration of science through a collection of hands-on activities. There are clubs for each grade level, so there’s something new each year. Some of our main topics of discovery include: the scientific method, cause and effect relationships, buoyancy, states of matter, graphing, friction, gravity, and density.

Grades: 3rd, 4th, 5th

Enrollment Limit: Multiple groups will be formed based on enrollment numbers.

Dates and Days of the Week: Tuesdays or Fridays before school based on the assigned group. Placement information and specific meeting dates will be sent home. Please indicate whether fall semester or spring semester is your first preference.

Club Name: Yoga Club

Description: Yoga Club will improve strength, flexibility and coordination through fun and creative poses in a non-competitive, welcoming environment. Students will learn breathing exercises and relaxation postures to calm the body and mind. Students will show kindness towards themselves and others and focus on a positive self-image through exercise. This club meets after school in 4 week sessions.  

Grades: 3rd, 4th, 5th
