Indian Hill Mock Trial STATE bound!

Mock Trial

The Indian Hill School District congratulates the Indian Hill High School (IHHS) Mock Trial team for advancing to the Ohio Center for Law-Related Education (OCLRE) Mock Trial State Competition in March. Both Indian Hill High School teams advanced; Indian Hill is one of only three programs in Ohio to earn this accolade.

“I was delighted to see both teams advance,” said Benn VanOudenallen, IHHS teacher and Mock Trial mentor. “Our students have put in so many hours, constructed a solid case, and delivered it so well – we are incredibly proud!”

Students earned several individual awards. IHHS senior Joseph Kayne kept his undefeated streak alive, capturing his eighth straight award for best lawyer. Seniors Ashwini Krishnan and Sarika Singh picked up best witness awards. Juniors Sophia Chen and Rohin Kotian picked up best lawyer awards, and sophomore Lillie Waltz earned a best witness award.

“The 24 teams at State are going to be solid, but I have faith that our students will do a great job upholding the Indian Hill tradition,” said VanOudenallen.

The teams travel to Columbus for the OCLRE Mock Trial State Competition March 9-10.
