The Indian Hill School District celebrates all Indian Hill High School students who competed in the JustWrite Regional Competitive Writing tournament, and congratulates Hannah Kremer, Grace Wang, and Lillie Waltz who will advance to compete at state! The regional competition was held at Dublin Coffman High School in Columbus the weekend of February 18.

“Our writers joined a total of 120 student-authors from more than 17 high schools from around Ohio,” said Indian Hill High School teacher Tom Millard, who mentors the JustWrite students. “We are so proud of all of our students, and we look forward to cheering Hannah, Grace, and Lillie on at state!”

Waltz earned third place and was one of the top six writers in Division 1 (freshmen and sophomores) during the regional competition. This not only qualifies her to advance to the state tournament held at the University of Findlay in May, but also gives her access to acclaimed young adult author Chris Crutcher, who will offer via a virtual meeting individualized comments on the stories Lillie wrote during this competition.
