Indian Hill High School student selected to highlight Ohio’s In-Demand Jobs Week

Tuttle Recognition

The Indian Hill High School Auditorium stage was set with lights, camera, and action, as one student – Reesë Tuttle – talked IT with top state education leaders. Monday, May 1, Indian Hill High School hosted Ohio Department of Education (ODE) Interim Superintendent of Public Instruction Dr. Stephanie Siddens with a team of top educators. The visit was part of In-Demand Jobs Week celebration, with a focus on career pathways in IT.

Tuttle, who graduates Indian Hill High School this month, gained recognition for having completed several professional cyber security certifications. Additionally, through her focus on College Credit Plus courses through Indian Hill High School, Tuttle has earned four Associate Degrees.

“I couldn't be more thankful for the opportunities that I have been able to leverage,” said Tuttle. “Before high school, I was a solid C-average student, so if I can do this, anyone can! I am looking forward to partnering with educational providers and taking tech education to the next level for every student possible!”

The visit included a tour of Indian Hill High School and discussion on sustainable measures in IT pathways, including IH Experienceships and a debut event for Indian Hill, The BIG Pitch. Tuttle was part of the top team awarded funding through the Indian Hill Foundation for “Project Tech” – a program to invest in the accreditation of students within tech through the Ohio Department of Education.

“We are incredibly proud of Reese and our innovative programs that provide students real-world experience to help problem solve here at Indian Hill High School and through our robust lineup of professional partners who offer Experienceships for our students,” said Indian Hill Principal Jeff Damadeo. “It was thrilling to see Reese up on the stage providing comprehensive answers to all of the questions our guests from the Ohio Department of Education asked.”

“This was a fantastic way to celebrate, on a state level, what we know to be true – that the experience we provide our students is something so uniquely Indian Hill,” said Indian Hill CEO/Superintendent Kirk Koennecke. “Allowing our students to lead the way by pairing passion with purpose is the way we do business, and we sincerely thank the Ohio Department of Education and Dr. Siddens for investing the time to learn more.”
