The Indian Hill School District celebrates all Indian Hill High School students who participated in the JustWrite State Competition at the University of Findlay in Ohio on Thursday, May 11. Sophomore Lillie Waltz won third place overall for Division 1, competing against 125 students, by scoring first place in multiple rounds, including one round where she earned a perfect score.

“This is an exceedingly rare accomplishment,” said Indian Hill High School teacher Tom Millard, who mentors the JustWrite student-authors. “We are incredibly proud of all Lillie accomplished and congratulate all Braves who earned the right to compete at this elite state level.”

Brave competitive writers also included Hannah Kremer and Grace Wang. The competition featured a total of around 250 students from across the state -  public, private, and parochial schools divided into Division 1 (freshmen and sophomores) and Division 2 (juniors and seniors).

Waltz will have her work published in the JustWrite 2022-2023 season anthology, featuring the most outstanding work produced in competition.
