Challenge grant announced at the Distinguished Alumni Awards ceremony in April 2019.
One of the significant events of the IH Foundation event celebrating the Alumni Awards was Dr. Kereiakes’s announcement of a challenge grant to fund the new IHHS
Digital Arts Technology Lab. Just this spring, the IH School Board approved a new curriculum to dramatically advance classes in computer science and graphic design for better college and career readiness.
Kereiakes, his wife Anne, and Beth and Doug Brendamour (sister and brother-in-law as well as fellow ’71 classmate) are generously offering to fund the first $140,000 needed to refurbish the physical space this summer while challenging the Class of 1971 and other community donors to match the remaining $70,000 for furnishing and technology needed to complete the vision of this new learning space. “Their bold philanthropy will greatly accelerate the school’s ability to offer this new and much-needed curriculum,” states IHF Board President Andy Swallow.

UPDATE: The Digital Arts Technology Lab has provided challenging curriculum innovations in computer science and graphic arts for over 150 students in its inaugural semester, Fall 2019. The Challenge Grant still needs the remaining $33,000 to fully support and sustain this new curriculum. Here are some images of our students sharing their work with the sponsors of the renovated space. Join our donor family to make sure Indian Hill can fulfill the promise this new lab offers our students.
Anne Kereiakes, Doug Brendamour and Dr. Dean Kereiakes visited in December and are proud of how this new space has taken shape and the potential it has to serve our students in the future.
