The Indian Hill School District celebrates the achievement of Indian Hill Elementary School distinguished educator Jackie O'Brien, honored with the prestigious Innovator in Instruction Award by Learn21. This accolade is in recognition of her exceptional contributions to digital learning and her unwavering dedication to enhancing student engagement through innovative digital methodologies.

O’Brien's educational journey is marked by her active pursuit of professional development and leadership within the Indian Hill Elementary School community. She has been instrumental in developing the school's state-of-the-art iLab through extensive research and grant applications, including significant support from the Indian Hill and Koch Foundations. Her efforts have secured over $100,000 since 2014, ensuring the continued impact of the iLab for years to come.
Her achievements include obtaining a grant for Vex Robotics in 2023 and playing a pivotal role in Indian Hill Elementary School receiving Ohio STEM Designation the same year. Jackie's instructional practices and dedication to STEM education have made her a key figure in educational circles, contributing to her presentations at multiple STEM conferences and her involvement in the Ohio Fostering STEM Learning Network, among other initiatives.
