The Sue Harder Memorial Performing Arts Center was packed with more than 400 students, staff, parents, alumni, community members, and partners, as international bestselling author Stephen M. R. Covey took the stage at Indian Hill High School on Tuesday, October 3. The renowned authority on inspirational leadership practices kicked off a new Leadership Summit on The Hill speaking series, an initiative to give all members of the community unparalleled access to executive thought leaders.
“To be in the presence of a leader the caliber of Mr. Covey truly is unprecedented, and to allow our students to have a seat at the table could be game-changing for their futures,” said Indian Hill School District CEO/Superintendent Kirk Koennecke. “This was an incredible way to launch this aspirational learning series, and we are so grateful Mr. Covey created time and space to make this dream a reality for us.”
“What an impactful day!” said Stephen M.R. Covey. “Real leadership takes place as we treat people according to their potential. It was genuinely inspiring to be among hundreds of people gathered together doing just that, with the shared purpose of unleashing greatness in students, leaders, and the community overall. There’s a sense of intentionality and belonging here. It’s what stewardship is all about.”
Stephen M. R. Covey is The New York Times and #1 Wall Street Journal bestselling author of The Speed of Trust, which has been translated into 26 languages and sold over 2 million copies worldwide.
