Indian Hill High School students earn OMEA All-State music accolades

OMEA All-State

The Indian Hill School District congratulates 11 of our talented Indian Hill High School student-musicians who were selected to perform with the Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) All-State Band, Choir, and Orchestra ensembles for 2024.

“Becoming an OMEA All-State member is a tremendous feat and these Braves continue to shine on stage in their respective groups. For many, music is an enormous part of our lives and helps tell the stories of our past,” said Indian Hill High School Principal Jeff Damadeo. “For these Braves, music continues to take center stage and be an integral part of their stories and legacy! We could not be more proud of their accomplishment!”

Each student applied in May of 2023 by sending in a recording of a solo piece from the OMEA solo and ensemble contest repertoire. These students were selected from thousands of submissions from high school students throughout the state.

The complete list of Indian Hill High School students performing includes:

Band:
Isaac Scott

Choir:
Geno Cardosi, Freddie Kong, Elyse Longbottom, Hayden Longbottom, Melissa Muench, Kyle Peterson, Makenna Peterson, and Kaylie Withers

Orchestra:
Aaron Scott, and Grace Yu (alternate)

Students selected for the All-State ensembles will perform at the 2024 OMEA State Conference, which takes place in early February in Columbus.
