Indian Hill Primary School student art on display in Madeira and Blue Ash

The Indian Hill School District celebrates 120 Indian Hill Primary School (IHPS) student-artists featured at two shows running now in Madeira and Blue Ash. The artistic talents of 72 of our Braves are currently on display at the Madeira Public Library, located at 7200 Miami Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45243. This special showcase features 24 artists from each grade level, with three students represented from every class, making it a comprehensive representation of the young talent brewing within the school.

The exhibition, which began earlier this month, will run until the end of March, offering the community an opportunity to witness the creativity and skill of Indian Hill's youngest artists.

“It’s always exciting to see our Indian Hill Primary School artists share their amazing work with the Indian Hill family, but even better when we can celebrate it as a community,” said Lauren Girdler, Indian Hill Primary School art teacher.

The initiative to collaborate with Madeira Public Library began in November when Girdler reached out to explore the possibility of showcasing student work. The partnership has flourished, promising an annual display of student artistry that strengthens the relationship between IHPS and the broader community.

“The relationship built between IHPS and the Madeira Library is a testament to our commitment to integrating the arts into our community and providing a platform for our students to shine,” said Indian Hill Primary School Principal Dr. Erin Owens.

In addition to the Madeira Library exhibition, there was another exciting opportunity for IHPS students. Forty-eight primary school artists had their work selected to be on display at the Blue Ash Recreation Center until March 15, as part of a regional student-art celebration.

“It’s such an incredible opportunity for our primary artists to share their successes with their friends, family, and community members in a public space,” said Girdler. “I’m so very proud of each one of them, and I hope they feel that pride when they see their work on display.”
