The Indian Hill School District celebrates Indian Hill High School student Lillian Liu who has been selected as one of only 621 semifinalists nationwide in the 2025 U.S. Presidential Scholars Program, one of the nation’s highest honors for high school students. Liu’s selection places her among an elite group of students recognized for their outstanding academic achievement, leadership, and commitment to service.

“Lillian’s achievement is a shining example of the academic excellence and dedication to growth that define our students at Indian Hill,” said Indian Hill High School Principal Andy Gruber. “She embodies the values of our learning community and serves as a role model through her scholarship, leadership, and service; we are incredibly proud of her success and elite selection as a Semifinalist.”

The semifinalists were chosen from nearly 6,000 candidates identified nationwide based on exceptional performance on the College Board SAT or ACT assessments and nominations made by Chief State School Officers, among others. The U.S. Presidential Scholars Program, established in 1964, honors the nation’s most distinguished graduating high school seniors. Finalists will be announced later this spring, with the U.S. Department of Education selecting up to 161 students as Presidential Scholars.
