A highlight of the annual event continues to be the strong family participation across all age groups. Mrs. Campa, a dedicated 2nd-grade teacher at Indian Hill Primary School, once again guided young runners through her multi-week Primary Pacers training program. Reflecting on the event, Mrs. Campa shared, “Conquer the Hill is a wonderful community event! It allows families and friends to come together to not only support our schools, but also support each other to reach personal goals. The Primary Pacers look forward to participating in this event every year. It gives some of our smallest Braves the opportunity to experience the joy of reaching a goal and the pride of helping others!”
The event is supported by a variety of community groups including IHHS Vinyl Club andCheerleaders as well as the IH PTO, Boosters & Foundation. The race also saw significant participation from Indian Hill alumni, many of whom participated with their own children. Notably, over 50% of the participants were returning runners, highlighting the event's cherished tradition within the community.
Meredith Blum, an IH alumna and current parent, enthusiastically stated, “I look forward to participating in the 5K every year with my daughter. It's a fun way to support Indian Hill and get exercise.”
Echoing this sentiment, Sarah Pharr, also an IH alumna and current parent, added, “Conquer the Hill is a family-friendly tradition we look forward to every spring. It's fun for kids and adults of all ages and abilities.”
