Indian Hill High School senior selected as Robertson Scholar

Jolyne Gunadi

The Indian Hill School District celebrates Indian Hill High School senior Jolyne Gunadi who has been awarded the highly prestigious Robertson Scholarship, a full-ride scholarship program that enables recipients to study at both the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) and Duke University. As part of the honor, Gunadi was invited to attend Connection Weekend from April 2-5, an exclusive event designed to welcome and celebrate incoming scholars.

“I feel so grateful to have had the opportunity to connect with current Robertson students as well as the amazing alumni community during Connection Weekend,” said Gunadi. “I feel like it was truly a sneak peek to the next four years!”

The Robertson Scholars Leadership Program offers more than financial support; it opens the door to leadership development, experiential learning, and academic exploration across two of the nation’s top universities. A distinctive feature of the program includes a “campus switch” during sophomore year, when students trade campuses to further enrich their collegiate experience.

Gunadi plans to major in public policy at UNC and pursue a certificate in decision science at Duke.

“I am honored to have received this scholarship from the Robertson program, and I can’t wait to spend my next four years getting to study and build a community at both UNC and Duke!” Gunadi shared.

Indian Hill High School Principal Andy Gruber praised Gunadi’s achievement, stating, “Jolyne’s selection as a Robertson Scholar is a testament not only to her academic ability, but to her passion for service, leadership, and personal growth. She embodies the very best of Indian Hill, and we are incredibly proud of her.”

The Robertson Scholarship application process spans multiple stages from August through early spring and places a unique emphasis on each applicant’s character, leadership potential, and vision for impact—not just academics. The program is widely recognized as one of the most selective and transformative scholarship experiences available to high school seniors in the United States.
