The Indian Hill School District congratulates Indian Hill Middle School student Haddyn Backlund, who was selected as the best in Ohio during the Power of Pen Regional Competition for her story “The Mistake on the Battlefield”; as a Regional Platinum Pen Award winner, she has the opportunity to be published in the 2024 Power of the Pen Book of Winners, The Winners of 2024! She will also be recognized at the state tournament award ceremony for this great achievement.
“We are thrilled Haddyn has been selected as an elite writer within the state of Ohio,” said Indian Hill Middle School Principal Lauren Gentene. “To achieve the status of a published author while in middle school is truly incredible, and we are thrilled to celebrate this amazing accomplishment with her.”
Backlund will be recognized for her Regional Platinum Pen Award Achievement during the awards ceremony at the Power of the Pen State Tournament, beginning on Friday, May 17, 2024.
