Indian Hill High School celebrates 44 student-leaders

NHS Induction

The Indian Hill School District congratulates the 44 Indian Hill High School students inducted into the National Honor Society (NHS) during the Induction Ceremony on April 17 in the Sue Harder Memorial Performing Arts Center. The annual event celebrates the academic excellence, leadership, service, and character of student-leaders with membership into the prestigious organization, joining a legacy of commitment to the core values of NHS.

“Recognizing student leadership within the National Honor Society is more than an honor—it's a celebration of the values we hold dear at Indian Hill High School,” said Principal Andy Gruber. “Our students set a powerful example for their peers and our entire community by modeling the way. We are incredibly proud of their achievements and excited to see how they will continue to shape the future.”

In addition to the student inductees, two special individuals were honored for their contributions to the school community. Student Jerrica Stone, active member in Indian Hill High School’s Unified Program and Unified Track team, was named Honorary Member of NHS. Mr. Benn VanOudenallen was chosen by students to be inducted as Honorary Teacher.

As part of the celebration, four senior students were presented with the NHS Pillar Awards, each representing one of the organization’s guiding principles:
•    Scholarship: Lillian Liu
•    Leadership: Caroline Brown
•    Service: Jenna O'Driscoll
•    Character: Yvette Detweiler

“This year’s inductees represent the very best of our school community; each student has demonstrated not only academic excellence, but also a strong commitment to scholarship, leadership, service, and character,” said Mrs. Liz Imrie, NHS Advisor. “It’s an honor to recognize their hard work and dedication—we are so proud of all they have accomplished and excited to see the impact they will continue to make.”
