Every morning, you send us the people you love most.
You trust us to teach them. To notice when they are struggling. To recognize what makes them extraordinary, sometimes before they recognize it themselves.
That trust is the heart of our work. This November, it is what I am most thankful for.
At Indian Hill, we have remarkable resources. Our annual report reflects the breadth of opportunity available to our students: strong academic foundations, challenging coursework, the arts, athletics, leadership, and experiences that connect learning to life beyond school.
Those opportunities exist because this community has chosen to invest in children. Generations of support have made it possible for our students to explore their interests, discover their strengths, and pursue futures they may not yet be able to imagine.
Thank you for making that possible.
Our responsibility is to make that investment count.
We strive to deliver the excellence you expect and deserve in a fiscally responsible way. That requires careful decisions about staffing, programming, facilities, and the dollars entrusted to us.
Our annual report documents more than $861,000 in external funding and support, including grants and donations. It also details approximately $500,000 in annual savings through staffing adjustments and transportation route consolidation. Behind those figures is an ongoing responsibility: use our resources thoughtfully, keep students at the center, and be clear with our community about our decisions.
We must earn your trust through what we do each day.
By knowing our students. Challenging them. Supporting them. By listening when a family raises a concern. By asking whether our efforts are helping children grow…and adjusting when they are not.
To our families, thank you for sharing your children with us and helping us understand what they need.
To our taxpayers, volunteers, and community partners, thank you for sustaining opportunities that matter.
To our faculty and staff, thank you for the care you bring to this work, especially in the moments few people see.
There is much to celebrate at Indian Hill. There is also work to do. We approach both with gratitude and a clear understanding of our responsibility.
Your children deserve our best.
Thank you for trusting us to give it.
Privileged to make students’ dreams come true,
Melissa
