IHHS Mock Trial TeamCongratulations to the Indian Hill High School (IHHS) Mock Trial Team of students Audrey Bristol, Tacey Hutten, Ethan Marx, Sydney Poffenberger, and Brooke Youngblood for earning the title of 2021 MockOn Mock Trial National Champions! The team competed the weekend of May 22-23 against 32 championship teams from Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Texas, and Wisconsin and came out on top.

“This is an incredible moment for the Indian Hill High School Mock Trial program,” said IHHS teacher and Mock Trial mentor Steve Reger. “This ‘Fab Five’ group of competitors went 16-1 this year with their only loss being by a couple of points in the state finals. We are so proud of these outstanding students; their names will go down in school history!”

According to the MockOn website, the Tournament of Champions is a two-day nationwide mock trial competition. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity for high school teams to receive judging from nationally-acclaimed mock trial champions around the country.

In addition to earning the national champion title, Indian Hill High School senior Ethan Marx was the Outstanding Attorney in the finals and Indian Hill High School senior Brooke Youngblood was the Outstanding Witness in the finals.
