Every November, Iām reminded of my childhood home.
The smell of the turkey roasting; the extra whip cream on top of my pumpkin pie; aunts, uncles, and cousins seated shoulder-to-shoulder around the dining table. Every member anticipating a meal and event to remember.
There was a hustle and bustle we embraced. A joining together of family to create and curate a magical experience.
As the Indian Hill Superintendent of Schools, I look across our campus and see the hustle and bustle being embraced in myriad ways. The creation of new buildings and renovations across our campus. The curation of programs that will allow for us to develop Learners as Doers, Learners as Individuals, and Learners as the Whole Child ā the focus of our #IHPromise strategic plan.
Right now, as a Brave family, we are taking all of the ingredients of an exemplary educational experience and mixing them together to continue to elevate an already magical K-12 program for the families who call the Indian Hill School District home.
Just like the holiday meals I enjoyed as a child, this work that is so uniquely Indian Hill is a labor of love, for our staff, for our faculty, for our administrators, and for our Board of Education. On behalf of the entire team that has the privilege of serving the students, families, and community of Indian Hill Schools, I say thank you.
Thank you for being a member of our Brave family.
Thank you for trusting us with the gift of teaching your child.
Thank you for investing in our mission to empower student voice in a personalized, collaborative, and inclusive learning environment.
For all of these reasons, I am thankful ā this Thanksgiving, and throughout the entire year ā to be a Brave.
In Service to Our Children,
