It's a go! Board of Ed approves Home of the Braves!
Board of Ed meeting        Marci, Lyle, Debbie
Home of the Braves propelled by the power of philanthropy!
In 2018, the Indian Hill School District – in partnership with the Indian Hill Foundation – launched a bold and visionary effort to complete an athletic complex to better serve our community and the most students possible. The District saw this as an opportunity to use money already allocated within the District’s capital plan to address serious and substantial athletic facility needs, and partner with private donors through the Indian Hill Foundation to create a better facility that will serve even more student-athletes. Called Home of the Braves, this effort marks the first-ever public-private partnership with the Indian Hill Foundation and private donors to complete a capital campaign.
The power of philanthropy was evident at the Board of Education’s March 19 meeting. Thanks to our community’s generous support of the Indian Hill Foundation’s campaign to build the new Home of the Braves, the Board voted unanimously to begin construction on the athletic facility. The new multi-purpose building will house critically needed field-side locker rooms to be utilized by numerous Indian Hill teams, designated space for coaches and athletic trainers, and concessions and restrooms accessible to both the upper and lower fields. The Home of the Braves will also create a new Welcome Plaza that will tie together the District’s athletic complex and create a beautiful community gathering space for events. Work on the site will begin this April with an estimated construction timeline of six to seven months.
It is not too late to make your mark on the Home of the Braves. For a limited time, customizable, engraved pavers can be purchased for $250, $1,000 or $2,500.  Additionally, any gift of $5,000 or more will be recognized on a prominent donor wall in the new Braves Welcome Plaza.  For questions or more information, please contact the IH Foundation Director, Lori Klinedinst at  [email protected] or 513-272-5932.
