The Indian Hill School District celebrates the Indian Hill High School Girls Tennis Team for winning the 2024 Ohio Tennis Coaches Association (OTCA) Division 2 Team State Championship. The championship took place on Saturday, October 19, at The College of Wooster. State Champion student-athletes included: Nayla Azarbeygui, Caroline Brown, Genevieve Chasar, Ayla Daoud, Reese Hazen, Cassie Larsen, Grace Nguyen, and Sophia Thompson.
“Indian Hill Tennis continues to be a staple of the Indian Hill Athletic Program and one of the very best tennis programs in Ohio,” said Indian Hill Athletic Director Brian Phelps. “I am proud of the success the team continues to have and even more proud of the sportsmanship and love of the game our student-athletes and coaches continue to exude. I could not be more excited for our players and their families to be able to experience the thrill of a State Championship!”
The Indian Hill Girls Varsity Tennis Team won back-to-back OTCA division 2 team State Championship titles and their 28th straight Cincinnati Hills League (CHL) Championship led by alum and Coach Wade Ward, assisted by Coach Adam Wolter and Coach Mike Piergalski.
The Indian Hill Board of Education will formally recognize the State Champion team during the December Board of Education meeting.
