Indian Hill High School ranked No. 3 in Ohio, No. 106 in nation
Indian Hill High SchoolThe 2019 U.S. News & World Report Best High School rankings were released, and – again – Indian Hill High School (IHHS) is ranked as an elite learning community within Ohio and nationally. According to the U.S. News & World Report website, Indian Hill High School is No. 3 in Ohio (out of 736 schools) and No. 106 in national rankings (out of more than 17,000).  

“Unparalleled opportunities in academics, the arts, and athletics – that is what we strive to offer our Braves each and every day as part of their Indian Hill High School journey,” said Indian Hill High School Principal Jeff Damadeo. “This ranking is one of many data points we use to measure our performance; we are pleased with this year’s ranking. The focus is always on the experience for our students, and creating an environment where they excel.”

According to U.S. News & World Report, data was collected on more than 23,000 schools to compile the rankings, which were revamped this year to be a reflection of how well high schools serve all students. and that ranking is in part based on performance on state-required tests, graduation, and college prep. According to the website, ranking factors measure performance on state math and reading proficiency tests; college readiness measured by participation in and performance on challenging college-level coursework using Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate examinations; and graduation rates.
