Last year, like so many other educational opportunities, the pandemic shut down the annual Ohio Junior Classical League (OJCL) State Convention. This March, convention organizers created a virtual setting, and Indian Hill students excelled. Seventeen Indian Hill Middle School and Indian Hill High School students brought home 67 total awards with 55 top-five finishes!

“We are so proud of all our students' hard work and effort to make this OJCL State Convention another successful one for Indian Hill,” said Indian Hill Latin teacher Alex Fries. “Our students showed great leadership and perseverance working through the challenges of a virtual event. They are all excellent representatives of the Indian Hill Latin program. We couldn't be prouder!”

Fries said submissions created for last year’s convention were allowed to be submitted this year. The year-delayed project acceptance brought some members of the Indian Hill High School Class of 2020 back “home” to participate and help club efforts for this school year.

Award highlights include:
• Alison Ma, Maggie Jutze, Kim Zwolshen, and Olivia Sheldon (all Class of 2020), Excellent Rating, Club Banner creation
