Welcome Home

IH Promise Fall 2022 Cover

Before the sun was up, our fleet of school buses rolled out August 18 and smiles rolled into campus as we celebrated our #BraveFirstDay of school! (My absolute favorite day of the ENTIRE year!)

The excitement hasn’t stopped!

From our unparalleled academics, arts, and athletics, to our world-class and award-winning faculty and staff, we know the educational experience we deliver is unique. This school year, we will examine with you the “why” and share that story through our website, our social media channels, our videos, and our printed publications – including this, our IH Promise newsletter.

Published twice a year and mailed to our entire community of stakeholders, the IH Promise Newsletter celebrates what it means to be a Brave. Communicating how we do business is important; you are our investor and you deserve to know.

There is so much to celebrate within this issue!

We launched our EduHERO podcast, putting student-voice center stage so you can hear about the Indian Hill experience directly from our Indian Hill High School (IHHS) and Indian Hill Middle School (IHMS) students. We update you on the work towards advancing our #IHPromise strategic plan, and provide a summary of the summer hours our world-class faculty spent learning to refine practice to be ready for this fall. We celebrate the accolades of our students and our staff in academics, the arts, and athletics – with some big announcements to share! (Like Disney’s Frozen, coming to the IHHS stage December 2023!) And, we provide a robust update on our construction progress as we work to Build a Brave Future for generations to come.

We look back over the last school year with pride: Indian Hill High School is ranked No. 1 in the state according to Niche; ranked No. 7 in the state by U.S. News and World Report; is a “Best Communities for Music Education” and has been the past eight consecutive years; is a Project Lead The Way nationally recognized STEM program and has been three consecutive years; and we remain a Top Workplace eight years and counting!

Why Indian Hill? This is home, and there’s truly no place like it.

Welcome back, Braves!

In service to our children,

Kirk Koennecke
