It was standing room only as Indian Hill School District Innovative Teaching and Learning Coaches Ashley Morrison and Lauren Richardson took the stage to present during the Instructional Technology Integration Partnership (ITIP) Google Summit for Education 2022. K-12 educators from across the state gathered in Sandusky, Ohio May 4 and May 5 to learn.

“Our innovation coaches are experts in student engagement, empowerment, and effective pedagogy,” said Indian Hill Director of Technology Mark Richardson. “Presenting at conferences like ITIP is a way for our coaches to share their expertise with other educators and organizations. It also gives our coaches the opportunity to continue their own professional learning in a way that benefits Indian Hill Schools.”

This conference focused on furthering knowledge of cutting-edge best practices in educational technology, specifically the use of Google tools and how they can be transformative in instructional design.

“As coaches, a large part of our role is to stay ahead of the game on the newest technologies and tools available to our district,” said Lauren Richardson. “Attending conferences like ITIP ensures that we are knowledgeable about the ways technology can engage and also empower our learners at Indian Hill.”

“The Google community is supportive and collaborative which makes it a powerful group to be a part of!” added Morrison. “Conferences like this remind me of how education is a special field where we can grow together by sharing our experiences and it’s why I enjoy both attending and presenting.”
