Indian Hill Middle School parents join global Hour of Code event
IHMS Hour of Code
For one hour Friday, December 7, students and parents at Indian Hill Middle School (IHMS) joined a global educational event. Called Hour of Code, the annual event is hosted at schools in more than 180 countries during Computer Science Education Week as a way to teach students the basics of code, and broaden participation in the field of computer science.

“This was an opportunity for Indian Hill Middle School to engage in innovation, creativity, and family participation in student learning,” said IHMS Principal Jennifer Ulland. “This makes the experience both global and intimate for our Braves.”

IHMS hosted around 50 parents during the 60-minute morning session throughout sixth, seventh, and eighth grade classrooms. Computer Science Education Week was December 3 through December 9 this year.
