Indian Hill High School students pack 4,000 sacks of food before the holidays
IHHS Food Donations
One week of food supplies, times 4,000 – that is the amount of donations Indian Hill High School (IHHS) students prepared for distribution through the Kids Fed Club. The club works with Childhood Food Solutions to distribute donated food items to families in need throughout the Cincinnati area, and this donation drop off will take place just before the holiday season.

“Thanksgiving is all about being grateful for what we have and helping those in need,” said Indian Hill High School senior Jorie Alf, who co-leads the Kids Fed Club. “Thousands of kids in Cincinnati struggle with food insecurities, and we wanted to do something to make a difference. With the support of our amazing teachers, this is what we decided to do.”

“This is what it means to be Brave,” said Indian Hill High School Principal Jeff Damadeo. “This is a joint effort between our students and our staff to serve our Cincinnati community, and Kids Fed Club is one example of a student-led organization that thrives within our high school for the purpose of service learning.”

Service learning is core to instructional practices within the Indian Hill School District. During the last school year, Indian Hill High School and Indian Hill Middle School Braves volunteered a total of 20,000 hours.

“We are incredibly proud of our Braves, and we will continue to provide unparalleled opportunities – like our student-led clubs – to allow our scholars to pursue their passion for helping others,” said Damadeo.
