Indian Hill Board of Education approves new transportation director

Transportation Director Diane Spurlock

The Indian Hill School District is pleased to announce veteran bus driver Diane Spurlock will join the administrative team as the new transportation director effective immediately. The Board of Education approved the contract for Spurlock during the March 3 Board of Education meeting.

“The Indian Hill School District has been more than a place for me to work for the last 12 years, it has been a place for me to grow, thrive, and to help others to do the same,” said Spurlock. “Transportation is a service to our families that we take seriously. We strive to provide a safe, efficient, and caring environment for our students, and I look forward to helping continue to serve in advancing this mission.”

Spurlock came to the District in 2008, and has served as a Certified Onboard Instructor since 2016, implementing and organizing a training system for the transportation department. Prior to joining the District, Spurlock worked professionally in website design and maintenance, as a business manager, and as a business partner.

“We are incredibly excited to have Mrs. Spurlock join our administrative team,” said Indian Hill Superintendent Kirk Koennecke. “Mrs. Spurlock has proven her dedication to our core values of a commitment to excellence, building collaborative relationships, engaging with our community, and she is always looking to see how we can improve our services. We are fortunate to have her as a Brave.”

Spurlock replaces Barbara Leonard who retired.
