Kids First. Content Second.

Virtual Meeting with Student Advisory Group

From our Braves who created e-cards to connect virtually with senior citizens in the area, to our Braves who designed and distributed protective masks to help combat COVID-19, and within every student-authored Brave story shared during this global crisis, our students are crafting an amazing chapter in the history making story of this school year.

Wow.

We sit as educators, simply amazed … and proud.

Throughout this ever evolving crisis situation, we have worked as a District to keep one focus: “Kids First. Content Second.” This is our mantra during distance learning.

Student voice matters

It should be included; it should be listened to; it should be shared.

Proactively to ensure that happens within the Indian Hill School District, this week we launched a student survey to see what we are doing well and how we can improve the Brave distance learning experience. Additionally, we have established a student advisory council to work directly with me to help guide the decisions we make.

We do this for one simple yet powerful reason: We love our students.

Kids First. Content Second.

It is how we do business. To every student who has worked to be Brave during this unprecedented time – thank you. You are an inspiration to us all.

In service to our children,
Kirk Koennecke
