June 15 Update: Indian Hill School District Facilities

Recent Ohio Department of Health orders have allowed us to amend parts of our campus reopening plans. While most indoor facilities on campus remain closed, portions of our outdoor spaces and some indoor rooms will now be available for use on a limited, staggered schedule, and following established social distancing and safety guidelines.

The following changes are in effect beginning Monday, June 22:

• The IHHS weight room will be open for scheduled, supervised use for staggered groups of athletes, with a capacity of 10 or less in the room.
• The IHHS gymnasium will open for scheduled, staff-supervised use for staggered volleyball and basketball skill sessions, with a capacity limit of 25 in a split-gym format.
• The IHPS and IHES playgrounds will reopen to the public for use, with limited capacity requirements. No more than 10 children can use the playground at each site at any one time, with parent observers practicing safe social distancing of six feet on all sides, including staggered parking spots. The playgrounds will be open daily from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
• The IHHS tennis courts will be open for student and public use, with a capacity limit of 20 guests allowed on the courts at any time. The courts will be open to the public daily from 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. All guests are required to bring their own equipment and encouraged to avoid sharing equipment.

Guests are requested to avoid carpools to the courts or playgrounds. Guests are requested to avoid sharing food or drink items on campus, and to honor two-hour time limits for use of facilities open to the public to accommodate fair amounts of use among all community members. Please note: There are no public restrooms available at this time.

We appreciate your support and patience as we continue to reopen parts of campus and provide safe activity spaces for our school community.

Sincerely,

Kirk Koennecke
