Indian Hill High School is excited to announce a partnership with Abre to host an App-A-Thon for students. The Abre-sponsored App-A-Thon will be Saturday, February 9, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Indian Hill High School Media Center.

“Our students will join students from around the region to engage in developing real-world apps that have the potential to be used within actual classrooms,” said Dr. Melissa Stewart, Indian Hill Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning. “We can’t wait to see what our Braves design, and how their innovation will help advance educational opportunities for their peers.”

Abre is an open source platform for education. Abre code is available for all to see, use, and modify.

“Students do not need to know how to code to participate in the event; they will be guided throughout the day by business professionals and developers,” said Dr. Stewart. “This is a unique opportunity to not only capture student voice, but also to work in collaboration with students to solve the challenges we face as an educational community.”

Snacks and lunch will be provided. Click here to register for the free event.
