My #IHPromise – to ensure each day that our focus centers on the growth of each unique child.

Most people don’t know this about me: I grew up farming. Northwest Ohio was the place where both sets of my grandparents were farmers, and working (and playing) within that rural wonderland is how I spent a good portion of my childhood. It was a magical place to learn and to grow, and as an educator – being a part of a team creating that feeling of magic for our students is central to what it means to me to be Brave.

The best moment of my day is when I encounter authentic student achievement, and I know our staff has helped place our student in that position to succeed. Priceless.

Each child we serve is unique, and each day our focus must center on the growth of the individual student as we support the beauty of the diversity within that child … and all of our children. That is the essence of the #IHPromise.

This community is outstanding; it is an honor and a privilege to work for the students who call this place home. While it is a long way from the farm where I was raised, I still feel the magic here that I experienced growing up as a child … and I know with our team’s focus – that precious spark for learning will never fade for our Braves.
